"Modeling Epithelial Ovarian Cancer in the Mouse"
Ovarian cancer is the most deadly gynecological neoplasm with 21,650 new cases and 15,520 deaths predicted in 2008. Around 90% of all malignant ovarian neoplasms are epithelial ovarian cancers (EOCs). Therefore, my work is dedicated on the development of accurate animal models of EOC which are crucial for the better understanding of this neoplasia and progression of effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
